A personal identification number is also required to register a domain name for a private individual.

Regular Delivery of Data
When registering a domain name, the domain name holder and the contact person information are disclosed to the domain registrar administrator. For .fi domains, the register is FICORA, .eu domain names Eurid and other terminals HEXONET GmbH. Otherwise, the information will not be disclosed to outsiders. Information will not be disclosed outside the EU or EEA.
Retention of Personal Data
Personal data will be retained for as long as it is necessary to maintain customer relationship, domain name management and accounting. Data is deleted when storing is not required anymore within 5 years.
Principles for Registering Security
Data is kept technically secure on a secure server site. Physical access to the server base where data is located is blocked by access control as well
through other security measures. Access to data requires adequate rights, as well as multi-stage recognition. For example, firewall technology prevents external attacks and access to registry information.
The registration information is backed up safely and will be returned as needed. Security level
is audited at repeated intervals either by external or internal audit.
Personal data will only be processed by persons specifically designated by Suomen Hostingpalvelu Oy who are employed by Suomen Hostingpalvelu Oy. These are recognized by systems using a personal user name and password. Users are bound by the confidentiality obligation.
A person in the register has the right, inter alia:
- asks the controller to access personal information about himself and the right to request rectification or removal of such data, limitation of processing or refuse to process
